		<description>I ordered a studio 17 laptop on line and the order was acknowledged on the 13th November for delivery 25th November.

The tracking of the order was impressive and when it arrived at Hinkley on the 19th Nov I was expecting a call to arrange delivery. On the 20th Nov, pre call no answer? and then postcard sent!.

I have given Dell 3 contact numbers and an E mail address and it results to postcards! also there were no calls missed! 
I found this thread on google and worryingly decided to contact Walsh/Syncreon. I was releived to speak to an assistant who offered next day delivery am/pm. Friday 21st am was covienent and so it was booked. Tracker showed my call immediately and it was delivered Friday 11.43am.

Its a shame there has been so many bad reports of the carrier but if I had not picked up advice from this site, who knows how long the laptop would have been sat around.

		<description>Starting to get a little worried now... according to the WW tracking system my XPS hasn't moved in 24 hours and its due for delivery am monday, there have been no updates since my last post. 

Anyone know if they work weekends i.e Will my package continue on its journey over the weekend or am I looking at a delay?

Really hope this doesn't affect my opinion on Dell, I've always had their machines in the past and can't fault them, hope WW dont let them down this time...</description>

		<description>BTW just got my refund from Dell (via paypal) for my cancelled order. 1 month after ordering it and after more hassle than is appropriate for such a seemingly simple transaction. No appology or even enquiry from Dell or WW as to why I cancelled the order so loss to them of £400 and I'll be looking to spend this with another company in the January sales. I was hoping for a customer satisfaction survey to complete..........</description>

No, but I am tempted to suggest that it could mean that they have a plan to deliver it but that you should be committed for expecting it to be carried out. The note is what they will claim to have left when they claim that you are out..........

		<description>Ordered my customized xps last Saturday evening. Had an estimated delivery date of the 8/12(!). Yesterday I checked the status of the order on the Dell site, and was pleasently surprised that it has now been sent for delivery with WW. 

WW called me this morning and I was hoping for delivery tomorrow but only date given was Monday am, not too bad but I hope it's delivered without any problems!

Im out on Monday but someone should be in!

Tracking log on the WW site says...

		<description>Ordered mine quite a while ago got it custom built, they released it 2 weeks prior to what the estimated delivery date was which was a huge surprise so im happy with that. Just spoke to the automated thing at Syncreon and got my delivery date for tomorrow, hoping ill have no problems and recieve it tomorrow. How do you get the choice between AM or PM? it wouldnt let me choose, i have lectures to go to tomorrow and would like to know which ones i could miss...Well thanks for any help. Will keep updated when i recieve the computer</description>

To add content, I placed the order around 1am on the 14th, Dell had it sent for delivery by 11pm on the 14th. Syncreon said it would be delivered today (I checked with them yesterday, they assured me it would be) but lo and behold, "delivery from Poland is taking a long time because Poland is far away". So more waiting.</description>

		<description>I have already had numeerous problems getting the DELL order to clear, finally doing so on the 10/11/08 when I was assured everything was fine and on the 12/11/08 my order was in the delivery stage.
The DELL site stated that Walsh Western would contact me BY PHONE to arrange a suitable delivery time and date. Low and behold it is now the 18/11/08 and they haven't so much as contacted me. The online tracking system is a load of BS, stating useless information which some of is lies. 
They managed to attempt a delivery on the 14/11/08 which was on the online tracking system, but no call,and even though I was there I never saw anyone attempting anything. Then on Monday (17/11) Dell rang saying Walsh Western could not find "building 1401", when the idiots don't realise thats a flat number within the building. 
Still with no contact WHATSOEVER the online tracking system now states
"NO PRECALL 19/11/08 	SCHEDULED DELIVERY DATE."
I presume that's when they will re-atteempt delivery, no doubt without phoning me. If it wasn't that I saved so much on the system I ordered, I would have already cancelled this order.
Walsh Western are useless.</description>
